MOVE TO SQUAMISH
THE ULTIMATE MEETING
SQUAMISH REALTOR
What brought me to the Sea to Sky? I moved to Squamish 7 years ago after the end of a romantic relationship. I thought about what kind of life I wanted and what made me happy: mountain biking, kiteboarding, paddle boarding, climbing, & a smaller town vibe. I packed up my car and moved North.
I grew up in Kitsilano and shopping was my sport of choice. Stiletto heels, manicured nails, how many shopping bags you could carry, and salon done hair was who crossed the finish line first. So, I was about to experience a lifestyle shock when I was forced to switch towns and moved onto a friend’s boat with no power, running water, or heat. I woke up most mornings to either the boat flooding or stepping on geese shit stepping onto the dock.
MOVE TO SQUAMISH
Present day Alyssa still has perfect nails, but I make your real estate dreams happen as a lifestyle consultant. Create your perfect life and move to Squamish.
6AM yoga, a home evaluation, & breakfast of champions: cake and caffeine. Expecting a quick lap biking with a friend I throw on some bike clothes. After a recent X-ray positively clearing me from breaking my back, I am attempting to learn to take ego out of my life. Likely impossible.
When someone asks you if you want to ride from the lower lot at Quest and up the climb trail, they are one of those people, you know the kind. I do not like being slow and if you know me, I like to be the one first up and down. Well the pace of this ride was set at x-racer uphill speed.
THE ULTIMATE MEETING
Top of Half Nelson and we pause for a Squamish property update. My dream meeting is unfolding as my ideal way to meet with clients is while exploring the outdoors. I believe that you get what you give in business and true success comes when you are in line with your values.
I forgot to mention to you that I had a pre-sale launch presentation 2 hours after we jumped in the car. I will protect my image at this point when you assume she is irresponsible but we had talked about a quick lap that would take less than an hour.
45 minutes to the start of my meeting we still need to make it backup to the trailhead and back to the car. When you are currently laughing at my fitness level remember my injured back and I ate cake for breakfast. I am home with 10 minutes to get ready and drive. I ran up the stairs, why do I have 4 flights of stairs who bought this place? Me of course, but I fell in love with the stairs because I thought my legs would look sexier from climbing them. I shower, pull a dress off the hanger, tights, heels, leather jacket, makeup and run out the door. Advertisers would love this moment, just visualize the perfect product video. I arrive at the meeting right on time, but my hair is wet; luckily, buns are easy to create solution to the wet hair!
I soaked in all the information for my clients and headed home because I started looking at people like they were food and I was starving. I have mud on my face I discover when I get home, classic Canada and people- too polite to tell me or no one cared, I guess?
